She admitted she didn’t even really know why she scheduled a consultation with me. Her friends had recommended me, but how could I possibly help her? She didn’t have an anxiety issue or depression, or something that clearly needed attention.

She had real life circumstances happening that were incredibly stressful, she was overwhelmed, burnt out, and “over it”. But it was because of all these things happening in her life, it wasn’t because she had any emotional issues.

She had tried therapy years ago, and it felt like an expensive babysitter. Why did her friends keep referring her to me? Who was this Ashley and why were they so insistent?

Her friends continued over time to suggest she talk to me. So she finally scheduled a consultation, walls up, attitude on because she didn’t have a mental/emotional issue, she had a hard a life!

She said talking to me during the consultation sparked something in her… hope. But she politely declined my services because after all, she didn’t have an emotional issue that needed healing nor did she need coaching.

Only a few days past when she realized, she needed someone there for her. If it wasn’t for the glowing reviews from her friends, there was no way she would have worked with me. She admitted she didn’t know what to expect, couldn’t see how I could possibly help.

Fast forward to just a few months later and she’s radiating, full of life, living anchored in joy. Loving this wild adventure we call life! A weight has been lifted off of her. Her marriage got way better, her relationship with her children got way better, her home life blossomed. She made necessary changes in her life to allow balance however the biggest change she made was within, and in that internal transformation is where she found her joy and her love of truly living.

She told me recently she didn’t realize how in pain and suffering she was until she was out of it. She couldn’t believe she thought it was normal to live the way she had and had accepted it for that long.

If that was her, how many others could there be?
To which I told her…. “Exactly! That is why I am so passionate about my purpose in life!”

Her story is one of many.
And it’s why I do what I do.

Break the chains.
Heal the wounds.
And run free.
